Birmingham, AL – A cold front will push through Alabama today, bringing changes to the area’s weather with noticeable effects on Veterans Day. Early morning travelers should expect light, lingering showers across northern areas before skies start clearing in the afternoon. The temperature will reach a high of 74 degrees, dropping to around 52 degrees overnight.

According to the National Weather Service, northwest winds will shift as the front moves in, bringing cooler temperatures and drier conditions by Tuesday. This change sets the stage for a sunny day tomorrow, with a forecasted high of 73 degrees. Residents should be prepared for mild winds, gusting up to 5 mph.

Wednesday is expected to start sunny but will transition in the afternoon with a 30% chance of showers moving into the region by evening. Temperatures will climb to around 67 degrees, followed by rain showers and possible thunderstorms overnight, with a high chance of precipitation reaching up to 80%.

Thursday’s forecast shows lingering morning showers clearing by midday, leaving partly sunny skies and cooler air, peaking at 66 degrees. Friday’s weather will provide a welcome reprieve with mostly sunny skies and a high of 66 degrees.
