Huntsville, Alabama – Low-end but persistent risks for severe weather will continue across northern Alabama through late Monday, with storms capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and localized flooding.

According to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, scattered thunderstorms are expected to move repeatedly over the Tennessee Valley through Monday night. A Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather remains in effect for both Saturday and Sunday, with a Marginal Risk (Level 1) lingering into Monday.

Cities including Huntsville, Decatur, and Florence could see several rounds of storms, especially during the late afternoon and evening hours. Storm coverage is expected to increase Sunday night into Monday, with chances of precipitation ranging from 60–90%. High temperatures will stay in the upper 70s to low 80s with overnight lows in the mid-60s.

Residents are urged to stay weather-aware, especially during peak travel times. Keep devices charged, review shelter plans, and ensure multiple methods for receiving alerts.

Storm chances are expected to taper off by early Tuesday. Additional advisories may be issued if conditions intensify.
