Huntsville, AL – Huntsville residents should brace for rainy, gusty conditions as they head into the weekend. Friday, February 14th, brings an 80% chance of showers, accompanied by wind gusts of up to 30 mph. The rain will begin overnight and continue into Friday afternoon, creating soggy conditions for Valentine’s Day plans.

According to the National Weather Service, the high temperature on Friday will reach 54°F, with the low dipping to 40°F by nightfall. Wind from the northeast will increase during the day, making travel on roads like Interstate 565 and U.S. Highway 72 particularly challenging.

If you’re heading out, be mindful of hazardous conditions, including reduced visibility from fog and mist. Winds could make driving difficult, especially on elevated bridges and open stretches of road.

As for the rest of the weekend, expect rain and potentially even thunderstorms, with showers continuing through Saturday and into Sunday morning. Be sure to plan accordingly for outdoor activities, and keep an eye on weather alerts for updates.

Stay informed and take precautions as weather patterns shift across Huntsville this week.
