Lake Charles, LA – Flood warnings remain in effect for multiple rivers across Louisiana and Texas, with minor flooding ongoing and expected to continue into early next week.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Lake Charles, flood warnings have been issued for Pine Island Bayou near Sour Lake, TX, and the Calcasieu River at multiple locations in Louisiana, including White Oak Park, Glenmora, and Oberlin. Additionally, Bayou Des Cannes near Eunice, LA, is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon.

Texas Flood Warning

Pine Island Bayou near Sour Lakeis currently at 26.0 feet, with flood stage set at 25.0 feet. Water is expected to drop below flood levels by Saturday afternoon.

• Lowland roads, including Old Sour Lake Road, are affected.

Louisiana Flood Warnings

Calcasieu River near White Oak Parkremains above flood stage at 2.3 feet, with minor flooding affecting Goos Ferry Road.

Calcasieu River near Glenmorais forecast to crest at 13.8 feettoday, affecting roads such as Strothers Crossing Road and Price Crossing Road.

Bayou Des Cannes near Euniceis expected to rise to 17.0 feet by Saturday morningbefore receding Sunday. Minor flooding near the bayou may impact structures.

Calcasieu River near Oberlinis projected to exceed flood stage early Sunday, reaching 13.5 feet Monday morningbefore dropping Tuesday night.
