Tazewell Sheriff Transitions FOIA Requests to GovQuest

Tazewell, IL – The Tazewell County Sheriff's Office is modernizing its public records process by transitioning to the GovQuest platform, effective September 5, 2026.

According to the Tazewell County Sheriff's Office, the new system is designed to streamline the Freedom of Information Act process. Residents can now use the online portal to submit and manage requests, track their status, receive updates, and download records electronically. The public can access this new portal at https://records.govquest.com/tazewellcountysoil/publicportal.

While the office encourages the use of the new digital interface, it noted that traditional submission methods remain available. Written requests will still be accepted by mail or personal delivery to the office.
