Stuart Missing Person Case Reported Today

Stuart, VA – Local authorities are searching for a 72-year-old woman who was reported missing earlier today. Jeannette Moxley was last seen on September 2, 2026, in the 100 block of Salem Highway in Stuart.
According to the Patrick County Sheriff's Office, the Virginia State Police issued a formal notice regarding the disappearance. Moxley is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. She has blond hair and hazel eyes.

At the time of her disappearance on September 2, 2026, she was last seen wearing an aqua shirt and black pants. She was also noted to be carrying a dark-colored walking stick. Officials are asking anyone with information regarding her location to contact the Patrick County Sheriff's Office at (276) 694-3161 or visit the official Virginia State Police portal at https://alerts.vsp.virginia.gov.
