Plainfield Search Ongoing For Missing Golden Retriever Named Max

Plainfield, IL – Residents are being urged to keep a close watch on their properties following the disappearance of a family pet. Max, a Golden Retriever, went missing on September 5, 2026, and has not been seen since. The community is working together to help reunite the dog with his owner, who is concerned for his safety and well-being.

According to the owner, Sarah, the dog was last observed in the vicinity of Plainfield Central Park. Max is described as a friendly Golden Retriever and was wearing a red collar at the time he went missing. Those who live near the park are being asked to conduct a thorough search of their own yards, as well as any sheds or garages where a frightened or curious animal might seek shelter.
