Joliet Community Center Opening Scheduled for September 2026

Joliet, IL – The City of Joliet officially announced plans today to launch a brand new community center, set to open its doors to the public on September 15, 2026. The facility will be located at 150 N Ottawa Street and is designed to serve as a hub for local engagement and support services.

According to the City of Joliet, the facility will feature a variety of programming including after-school initiatives, fitness classes tailored for seniors, and a dedicated food pantry. The project was made possible through a state grant totaling $2.3 million.

Residents interested in utilizing the new services will be able to begin the registration process for various programs starting September 1, 2026.
