Hoffman Estates Hosts CPR and AED Training Course This September

Hoffman Estates, IL – The Hoffman Estates Fire Department is providing members of the community with a vital opportunity to gain life-saving medical skills. A specialized Heartsaver CPR/AED Course is scheduled to take place on September 23, 2026, offering essential training for those who have little to no prior medical experience.

According to the Hoffman Estates Fire Department Administration Office, this event is designed to equip local participants with the knowledge necessary to respond effectively in emergencies. The training session will run from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on the evening of September 23, 2026.

The instruction will take place at the Hoffman Estates Fire Station #24. This facility will host the comprehensive curriculum, which is tailored specifically for the general public rather than healthcare professionals. The goal of the program is to ensure that residents feel confident and prepared should a medical crisis occur.

During the three-hour course, participants will learn the critical steps to take when a medical emergency arises. The training covers how to properly call 9-1-1, how to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and the correct methods for using an automated external defibrillator. Additionally, the instructors will teach attendees how to provide effective relief for someone who is choking.
