Bibb County, GA Crash: Car Overturns on Eisenhower Parkway

Macon, GA – A rollover crash on Eisenhower Parkway left a car upside down off the roadway Wednesday, with Bibb County authorities saying the driver was treated at the scene before being cited for several alleged traffic violations.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, C.I.T.E. Unit deputies responded to the traffic accident after the driver reportedly failed to obey a traffic signal, lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway. The vehicle then overturned and struck a utility pole.

Authorities said the driver of the sedan was treated at the scene by paramedics. The sheriff's office did not report additional injuries or indicate that anyone was transported to a hospital.
The driver was subsequently cited for reckless driving, driving too fast for conditions, failure to obey a traffic control device, failure to maintain lane and an expired tag, according to the sheriff's office.
Authorities did not immediately provide additional details about what led up to the crash or whether the incident caused significant traffic disruptions along Eisenhower Parkway.
C.I.T.E. Unit Deputy Joseph Crumpler used the crash to remind motorists to follow posted speed limits, traffic signals and other roadway laws. The sheriff's office said safe driving practices can help protect everyone traveling on local roads.
Eisenhower Parkway is a major commercial corridor through Macon and Bibb County, making traffic incidents along the route potentially disruptive to local motorists.
