Southeast Michigan Weather: Sunny Start, Midweek Showers, and Independence Day Rain

Detroit, MI – This week’s weather in Detroit begins with sunny and pleasant conditions today, but will soon transition to more unsettled weather by midweek. Highs today will range from 74-78°F under high-pressure dominance.

The National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac forecasts increasing clouds by Tuesday, with potential overnight showers and highs of 79-83°F. Wednesday brings muggy weather and possible thunderstorms, pushing temperatures to 84-89°F.

Independence Day on Thursday will see humid, mostly cloudy skies with highs of 83-87°F and increased rain chances overnight. The weather pattern will remain active into the weekend as another low-pressure system affects the region.

Evening temperatures will be between 52-68°F, providing cooler nights. Residents should monitor weather updates and plan for a potentially wet holiday.
