Severe Storms: Damaging Winds, Hail Threaten Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana

Shreveport, LA – A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 7 p.m. CDT for much of East Texas, southern Arkansas, and northern Louisiana. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued the watch, citing threats of damaging winds, large hail, and locally heavy rainfall.

According to the NWS Shreveport, the watch includes areas such as Tyler, Longview, and Shreveport, extending into Monroe and El Dorado. The primary concerns are wind gusts up to 70 mph, hail events up to 1.5 inches in diameter, and intense rainfall that could lead to localized flooding.
