Kankakee’s Riverview Historic District Hosts Annual Neighborhood Garage Sales

Kankakee, IL – The Riverview Historic District and Riverside Neighborhood Organization are gearing up for their annual Neighborhood Garage Sales, scheduled for August 2 and 3. This event promises to be a treasure trove for bargain hunters and a fantastic opportunity for residents to declutter and socialize.

According to event organizers, the sales will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days, featuring a wide array of items from multiple households. Residents interested in participating must pay a $10 registration fee. To register, residents can drop off their fee, name, address, and phone number at 999 S. Chicago Ave., making checks payable to the Riverview Historic District.

The event aims to foster community spirit while allowing visitors to explore the charming historic neighborhood. Organizers encourage everyone to take part, either by setting up a sale or by browsing the unique offerings.
