Dyer, IN – Hart Street at Stech Street is temporarily closed from this morning until Monday night for utility improvements. The closure, announced by the Dyer Police Department, is part of a larger reconstruction project on Gettler Street, stretching from Route 30 to Stech Street, which commenced Friday, June 21.

According to the Dyer Police Department, the project aims to upgrade utility lines and improve road infrastructure. The temporary closure of Hart Street at Stech Street is necessary to facilitate these improvements efficiently and safely. Motorists are advised to follow all posted detours to navigate around the closure.

The Town of Dyer has informed residents and visitors that access will be limited throughout the project. Notably, there will be restricted entry to key locations such as Franciscan Hospital, Windmill Brewery, and the VFW. The town officials urge patience and caution as these essential upgrades are carried out.
