Paducah, KY – Kentucky and Missouri are bracing for a hot, humid, and stormy Saturday, with a heat advisory in effect from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and a marginal risk of severe weather from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday. According to the US National Weather Service in Paducah, temperatures are expected to reach the mid-90s with heat index values between 105-109 degrees.

The oppressive heat is forecasted to persist throughout the day, followed by a cold front moving in tonight. This front will bring relief with lower humidity and cooler temperatures on Sunday and Monday. Sunday’s high is expected to be around 75 degrees, dropping significantly from Saturday’s high of 93 degrees. The temperature will continue to fall, with Monday’s high reaching only 62 degrees.

Missouri areas, including Cape Girardeau, will experience similar conditions. Cape Girardeau can expect a high of 93 degrees today with a 55% chance of rain. The heat index will make it feel even hotter. On Sunday, temperatures will cool to a high of 85 degrees, and by Monday, they will drop further to a high of 61 degrees.
