Chicago Weather Forecast: Thunderstorms Expected Saturday

Chicago, IL – Residents of Chicago should prepare for an unsettled weekend as the National Weather Service forecasts significant thunderstorms beginning Friday night and continuing through Saturday. Today will start with mostly clear skies before cloud cover increases later in the evening. High temperatures will range from 75 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit, with cooler conditions near Lake Michigan.

According to the US National Weather Service Chicago, scattered showers will begin Friday afternoon, with a 40% chance of precipitation. The evening will bring a 60-80% chance of thunderstorms, potentially disrupting evening plans. Temperatures will reach between 78 and 82 degrees, cooling to 68-71 degrees overnight.

Saturday’s forecast indicates continued storm activity, with temperatures peaking at 84-88 degrees. Residents should expect the highest chance of thunderstorms and heavy rain on Saturday evening. Sunday promises relief with dry and cooler weather, featuring highs of 73-76 degrees. Monday will maintain this trend with temperatures between 75-78 degrees and minimal chances of rain.
