Charleston, WV: Expect a Warm Weekend with Thunderstorms and Cooler Weekdays

Charleston, WV – Today’s weather in Charleston will be mostly dry with temperatures becoming more seasonable by the afternoon, reaching the mid-80s. According to the US National Weather Service in Charleston, WV, the region will see a few showers or thunderstorms over the southern West Virginia mountains and southwest Virginia. Tonight, temperatures are expected to cool down significantly.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Friday will see temperatures climb to a high of 90°F with partly cloudy skies. Saturday’s forecast predicts a 55% chance of rain with temperatures peaking at 89°F. Sunday will also be wet, with a 35% chance of showers and a high of 88°F.

Next week starts with cooler and sunnier conditions. Monday’s high will be 77°F under clear skies, while Tuesday and Wednesday will bring abundant sunshine with highs of 88°F and 91°F respectively. Overnight lows are expected to dip to the 50s and 60s, offering a respite from the daytime heat.
