La Crosse, WI – Thunderstorms are forecasted to develop tonight, with the highest chances (50-80%) along the I-94 corridor. The National Weather Service (NWS) in La Crosse has issued a warning indicating a high likelihood of severe weather, including damaging wind gusts, large hail, heavy rainfall, and the potential for a tornado.

According to the NWS, the exact timing and location of these storms remain uncertain, but the period from 7 PM to 3 AM is identified as the highest risk window. Residents are urged to stay informed as details may change rapidly. The NWS advises those in the area to monitor weather updates and be prepared to seek shelter if necessary.

Confidence is growing that widespread damaging wind gusts will accompany these storms. In addition to wind, large hail and heavy rainfall are significant threats. Tornadoes, while less likely, are still possible. The NWS has emphasized the importance of having multiple ways to receive weather warnings, particularly for those with outdoor plans tonight.
