Bradley, IL – Discover the Night Sky: Bradley Public Library Hosts Free Astronomy Events

Bradley, IL – The Bradley Public Library is offering residents a unique opportunity to explore the night sky with a series of free astronomy events at Willowhaven Park. The events kick off on Friday, June 21, with a full moon gazing session from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. This will be followed by a stargazing event on Wednesday, July 3, from 10:30 to 11:30 p.m.

August brings more celestial wonders, starting with the Perseid Meteor Shower on Monday, August 12. This event will run from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., providing a perfect chance to witness one of the most spectacular meteor showers of the year. The series concludes with another full moon gazing session on Monday, August 19, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

According to the Bradley Public Library, all ages are welcome to join these events, and no registration is required. Participants will meet in the first parking lot on the left, near the dog park. The library encourages attendees to bring their telescopes and cameras to capture the beauty of the night sky.

These events offer a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together and appreciate the wonders of the universe.
