Bourbonnais Friendship Festival 5K Run Set for Saturday, June 29

Bourbonnais, IL – The annual Bourbonnais Friendship Festival is set to feature a 5K Run and Walk on Saturday, June 29, at 7:30 a.m. The event will take place near the intersection of William Latham Drive and Stratford Drive East, offering participants a scenic route through the heart of Bourbonnais.

According to the Kankakee River Running Club, the registration fees range from $20 to $30, with an additional $5 charge on race day. Early registration, which includes a Dry Fit tech shirt, ends at noon on June 17. Participants can register online until June 28 at 4:00 p.m. or in person at the festival grounds on June 28 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Race day registration will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:15 a.m.

Awards will be given to the top finishers in various age groups, including overall male and female categories. Water stations and post-race refreshments will be provided. The organizers encourage runners of all skill levels to join in the fun and support the community event.
